2021 Super Bowl Odds: Kansas City Chiefs Back-to-Back Favorites

Will Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes win again? At the start of the 2020 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs (6/1 odds) and Baltimore Ravens (13/2 odds) are the top favorites to win the 2021 Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes recently signed a contract extension making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. Can he back up his high price tag with another title?

Heading into the 2019 NFL season, the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs were the two favorites to win Super Bowl 54.

Midway through the 2019 season, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Patriots and oddsmakers made the Ravens the new Super Bowl favorites.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw the biggest odds bump out of any team in the postseason after they signed Tom Brady. The Bucs, now with Brady, Gronk, and Leonard Fournette, are 14/1 odds to win the 2021 Super Bowl.

After the Patriots named Cam Newton as their starting quarterback in Week 1, they saw their Super Bowl odds move up to 20/1.

Kansas City Back-to-Back Legit?

It’s been 16 seasons since the last repeat champion in the NFL. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick won the Super Bowl in back-to-back years with victories in Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX.

Only four franchises secured consecutive NFL championships since the late 1980s when the San Francisco 49ers won the Super Bowl in back-to-back seasons.

In the 1990s, the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos pulled off back-to-back Super Bowl victories.

Kansas City enters the regular season as 6/1 odds and the top favorite on the futures board to defend their title at the 2021 Super Bowl.

Vegas Raiders Lead Long Shots

The Las Vegas Raiders will finally make their debut. Too bad their spanking-new stadium won’t have any fans in attendance to christen the new home of the silver and black.

The Raiders finally have a home to call their own and no longer must share a facility with the Oakland A’s.

At 66/1 odds to win Super Bowl 55, the Raiders are the best of a sordid bunch of teams that occupy the NFL basement.

LONG SHOT 2021 SUPER BOWL ODDS

Both New York City teams are in the crapper once again. The Giants finally usher in the Daniel Jones era after he spent his rookie season in Eli Manning’s shadow. Now that Manning rode off into the sunset, it’s up to Jones to turn around the franchise. Right now, you can get the Giants at 80/1 odds, just like the New York Jets.

The Jets continue to be the sh-t show they’ve always been. The team had a fairly good draft, but can they turn the corner? Or will it be another season full of follies and turmoil? Last season, we chronicled the ups and downs (mostly downs) of being a Jets fan with a weekly column, LOL Jets.

Bookies around the globe universally think the Jacksonville Jaguars will be the worst team in the NFL this season. Gardner Minshew and the Jags are the longest shot on the futures board at 175/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
