Best NFL DFS Plays Under $5,000 in Week 11

With the top three running backs priced above $8,900 on DraftKings this week, you will need to hunt for value to slot in the costly players. There is fortunately some really good value on the player list for Week 11, including a tight end with the potential to smash who is barely above minimum salary. Here are the best NFL DFS plays under $5,000 this week:

Devonta Freeman is hurt, making Brian Hill the guy in Atlanta. The Falcons running back could be one of the best NFL DFS plays under $5,000 this week. (Image: Atlanta Falcons)

Ryan Finley, Bengals QB, $5,000

The rookie, taking over after a mediocre start to the season by Andy Dalton, had a solid, “game-manager” style game last week against Baltimore, completing 16 of 30 passes for 167 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Definitely not spectacular numbers, but Finley stands a good change at besting those stats significantly against the Raiders this week, a team that is good against the run and weak against the pass.

Brian Hill, Falcons RB, $4,800

This pick is certainly no surprise, as every tout is hyping Hill this week since he is expected to start for the injured Devonta Freeman. Hill played most of last week’s game against the Saints after Freeman left in the second quarter with an injury, rushing 20 times for 61 yards and catching a TD pass. The Falcons face a Panthers team that is one of the worst in the NFL against opposing running backs in DFS.

Dede Westbrook, Jaguars WR, $4,500

Speaking of hyped players, few were more touted by the experts in Week 1 than Westbrook, who had a solid, if not spectacular, game. Solid but not spectacular pretty much sums up his season until he exited in Week 8 with an injured neck and shoulder. Nick Foles is back at quarterback after his Week 1 injury, so this will (hopefully, barring further injuries) be their first full game together this week. We will get to see if the two have developed chemistry as the Jags face the Colts.

Jared Cook, Saints TE, $4,400

After a slow start to 2019, Cook has come on strong, averaging more than 13 fantasy points per game on DK over his last three games. The Buccaneers D he will face this Sunday is second worst in the NFL against opposing tight ends in DFS.

Ross Dwelley, 49ers TE, $3,400

As the week has progressed, it’s become more evident that George Kittle is likely to miss San Francisco’s home tussle with the Cardinals. Enter Dwelley, who was targeted seven times last week during Kittle’s absence. At Dwelley’s price tag, and facing a Cardinals defense that is worst in the league against tight ends, he’s hard to fade as perhaps the best of the best NFL DFS plays under $5,000.
