Kansas City 4th Straight 4-0 Start, Now 7/2 Super Bowl Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs set a new NFL record by starting the season with a 4-0 record for the fourth consecutive season. They regained the top spot on the NFL futures board after defeating the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 3. Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas lists Kansas City at 7/2 odds to win the 2021 Super Bowl (aka Super Bowl LV).

The Baltimore Ravens (3-1) suffered their only loss of the season to KC, slipping to 6/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

2021 Super Bowl Odds

There are only six teams that have yet to lose a game this season. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans are both 3-0, but had early byes in Week 4 after the NFL postponed their game due to a COVID-19 breakout.

Kansas City is one of four, 4-0 teams, including the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers.

KC and the 4-0 Crowd

Kansas City started the season at 6/1 odds to win another Super Bowl. After an impressive road victory against the Ravens last week, oddsmakers adjusted the line. You can now find the Chiefs at 7/2 odds.

The Seahawks started the season 4-0, including holding off the New England Patriots by stuffing Cam Newton during a game-winning goal-line stand. Russell Wilson tossed 16 touchdowns through four games, including a pair of five-TD games. With Wilson airing it out, the Seahawks are ranked second in the league, averaging 35.5 points per game.

Seattle’s odds are now 8/1 after their undefeated start. At the start of the season, the Seahawks were 20/1 odds.

The Green Bay Packers lead the NFL with 38 points per game. If Wilson wasn’t crushing it, everyone would be hoisting Aaron Rodgers to the top of the MVP futures board.

The Packers saw the biggest move with 28/1 odds during the preseason compared to 10/1 now.

Buffalo Bills were ready to challenge the New England Patriots for the AFC East crown at the start of the season. They came into the year at 25/1 odds to win the Super Bowl. The Bills Mafia couldn’t be happier with a 4-0 start, and their Super Bowl odds are now 15/1.

The Rest of the NFL

After four weeks, the NFL has now completed the first quarter of its season. Without a proper preseason due to COVID concerns, the first quarter operated as an extended preseason for many teams. In that sense, the NFL season is truly ready to begin in Week 5.

There’s a cluster of teams that we think are good, but are only playing .500 ball, like the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers.

Then, there are the lost causes like the New York Jets and NY Giants. They’re among the few 0-4 teams that are seeking their first victory of the season, along with the Atlanta Falcons, and Houston Texans.
