Kylian Mbappe runs out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of June. The 23-year-old is set to sign for Real Madrid as a free agent. Mbappe starred in the Champions League midweek in the clash opposing his current club and his future one. The attacker decided the match thanks to a brilliant individual action. He put PSG in front in stoppage time ahead of the second leg in Madrid.
According to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, Mbappe’s mother has recently spent a few days in Madrid recently trying to find herself a new apartment. Fayza Lamari is looking to move to the city as soon as her son officially becomes a Real Madrid player. She visited several properties and decided she’d want to live in the Moraleja district, situated north of Madrid.
Mbappe: ‘The decision is not taken’
Talking to the media after his stellar performance against Real in Paris, Mbappe said his future is not decided yet. Close sources to both Real Madrid and the player claim his future is sealed, though.
“I have not decided my future. I play for Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best clubs in the world,” Mbappe told Mediapro, the Spanish broadcaster of the Champions League.
“The decision is not taken, I’m doing my best and we’ll see what happens next season,” he stressed.
PSG has made several attempts to extend Mbappe’s contract, with Liverpool also approaching him. Mbappe, who is a big fan of Real Madrid since childhood, seems to have ignored all interest for the chance to land at the Bernabeu next season. His plan was to play for Real Madrid starting the 2021 summer transfer window, but PSG ignored the Spanish giant’s monstrous bid.
Real Madrid is now at -550 to sign Mbappe, with him staying with PSG currently at +330. A transfer to Liverpool stands at +750, while a move to Manchester City is far off at +2000. Chelsea sits at +3300, whereas Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all at +5000.
