Golf Betting Options for Gamblers Suffering PGA Tour Burnout

There are so many golf betting options available, especially if gamblers are burned out on the PGA Tour. It’s been three weeks since the PGA Tour said goodbye to the 2018-19 season, and hello to 2019-20. While a lot of golfers are taking a pass on this week’s A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier, those who like to wager on golf have several other options.

It would be easy to claim fatigue on betting on the tour week after week. There are 49 tournaments in a season, and after a while fatigue begins to set in for those trying to figure out who is going to win.

This week the names are foreign to even the most savvy golf handicapper. Can you pick Tom Lewis or Jason Kokrak out of a lineup? About the only ones who can are their immediate family.

But despair not, because there is plenty of golf action to wager on that actually contains recognizable names.

Solheim Cup Starts Friday

The LPGA’s version of the Ryder Cup begins on Friday, and just like the men the USA Team is a big favorite. The squad that includes Lexi Thompson and Danielle Kang are a -200 to defeat the European Team, which is +170 to win.

It is possible the European squad, which features veterans Anna Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen, could test the Americans, though. There are six rookies on the US Team and nerves could definitely play a factor.

President’s Cup Prop Bets

The men play the President’s Cup in December. The competition, which features the US Team against an International Team excluding Europe, has Tiger Woods and Ernie Els as captains.

The squads are mostly set, though Tiger Woods is still mulling whether he will include himself on the team. Gamblers can make a wager on whether he names himself. Sportsbetting.ag has Woods as a -180 not to name himself, and a +150 to call his own number.

As far as the competition the US is a strong favorite. The team that includes Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson, is a –

Eye on a Majors Prize

There are two areas golf gamblers can go when it comes to major championships. The Masters odds are out, and have been recently adjusted. Tiger Woods was the favorite as the defending champion at 8/1. Since April, though, he has slipped to 16/1. The new top choice is Brooks Koepka, who went from 16/1 to 9/1.

Another bet is on the chance for a golfer to win a major championship in 2020. Woods is listed at 5/1 to win any of the four majors next year. So is Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, and Patrick Cantlay.

Not surprisingly Koepka has the lowest odds. He is at 2/1. Johnson is right behind him at 3/1.

Some longshots include Lucas Glover (50/1), Kevin Streelman (100/1), Brian Harman (100/1).
