AFC Title Game: Tennessee at Kansas City
The Tennessee Titans stunned the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional round. Derrick Henry ran down the Ravens’ throats and they couldn’t figure out a way to slow him down. A rattled Lamar Jackson struggled, and the Titans pulled off another huge road victory. They now head to Kansas City to battle Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
In Sunday’s AFC divisional matchup, the Houston Texans jumped out to a 24-0 lead against the Chiefs. However, the Texans failed to protect their lead. Mahomes threw four touchdowns in the second quarter to thrust the Chiefs back ahead, 28-24. Houston scored only seven points throughout the rest of the game, as the Chiefs routed the helpless Texans 51-31.
The Chiefs head into the AFC title game in Kansas City favorited by a touchdown over the Titans. Mahomes and the Chiefs improved to 3/2 odds to win Super Bowl 54.
NFC Title Game: Green Bay at San Francisco
The last time the Packers lost a game, they were throttled 37-8 by the Niners. Since then, the Packers won their last five regular season games, and held off the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional round. Seattle went 7-1 on the road during the regular season, but they couldn’t conjure up enough offense to catch the Packers.
Seattle overcame a 21-3 halftime deficit, but fell short 28-23. Aaron Jones rushed for only 62 yards, but he scored two touchdowns. Marshawn Lynch rushed only 12 times for 26 yards, but he still found the end zone twice for the Seahawks. Aaron Rodgers connected with Davante Adams for eight catches, 160 yards, and two touchdowns in the victory.
The Packers finished the season with the #2 overall seed in the NFC. They were awarded a bye week and a home game at Lambeau Field. Although it didn’t snow during the game, temperatures hovered around freezing. The Packers head into the NFC championship as 5/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
The 49ers dominated the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional round and easily advanced to the NFC title game, which is one of the reasons they’re the consensus favorite to win the 2020 Super Bowl at 3/2 odds.
